职位描述
Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a User Experience Researcher to join our Insights and Analytics team.
Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.
岗位职责
Oscar is building a centralized Insights and Analytics function within our Technology organization to shape how the company learns, decides, and builds. This role will specifically support Oswell and Oscar’s consumer-facing AI experiences, helping teams understand where AI can meaningfully improve member trust, comprehension, and navigation. This team brings together User Experience Research, Data Science, Analytics, and Market Research to connect what people experience, what our systems reveal, and what the business needs to understand.
As part of this team, Oscar’s User Experience Researchers help the company make product, service, and business decisions grounded in the lived experiences, behaviors, needs, and friction points of the people we serve and support. Our work spans consumers, members, brokers, providers, and internal users across Oscar’s Tech Pillars and family of companies. In this role you will independently lead research studies in complex product and service areas, using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods to clarify ambiguous problems, de-risk product decisions, and shape strategy. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Strategy, Operations, Clinical, and Insurance Product teams to turn human insight into clearer priorities, better workflows, and more confident decision-making.
This role is a strong fit for a researcher who is comfortable working in early-stage or ambiguous spaces, can identify the behavioral dynamics underneath a business or product question, and can determine what evidence will meaningfully move a team forward. You will be expected to develop a clear point of view from research, connect insights to business needs, and help mature how research is planned, conducted, documented, shared, and reused at Oscar, including thoughtful use of AI-enabled tools to make insights faster to find, easier to reuse, and more
Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $163,944.00 - $215,176.50 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.
Work Location: This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid
