Responsibilities
We're looking for a Principal Technical Architect for our Data Foundation practice: the integration, data, and AI backbone that connects our clients' entire technology ecosystem. This role is built for someone who can sit down with a CIO, a CDO, or a VP of Architecture and become the technical point of reference they turn to for decisions that can shape the company's direction. You'll operate across modern enterprise integration and data management platforms, but your real value lies in translating technical complexity into strategic decisions, and in designing data and integration architectures that enable real, enterprise-scale AI use cases. Strategic conversation & technical leadership • Be the technical point of reference for CIOs, CDOs, and IT leaders, guiding data and AI architecture decisions at the C-level. • Design and present target-state architecture visions (data foundation, integration, data governance, AI) aligned to the business, not just the technology. • Lead architecture workshops, technical discovery, and "future state" sessions with cross-functional client teams. • Hold technical conversations (integration, data, AI, security) and translate them into visual, value-driven narratives architecture diagrams, capability maps, roadmaps, that a CIO or a board can understand and sponsor in minutes. • Use diagrams as an executive language : turn complex architectures into simple visuals that connect technology investment to business outcomes. Architecture design • Define reference architectures for integration, data management, and data quality, and enable AI on top of trustworthy data. • Establish data governance, security, scalability, and observability patterns across the organization. • Assess the current state (as-is) and build realistic roadmaps toward the target state (to-be), prioritized by business value.
Requirements
8+ years in data architecture, integration, or enterprise platforms, including at least 3-5 years in enterprise architecture or strategic consulting roles. Executive exposure Proven track record leading conversations with CIOs, CDOs, or VPs of IT, not just technical teams. Strong technical foundations Deep understanding of integration (API-led, event-driven), data management (MDM, quality, governance), and AI/ML architecture fundamentals. Business mindset Ability to connect technical decisions to business impact, ROI, and risk. Unleash Your Potential When you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life. Our benefits and resources support you to find balance and be your best , and our AI agents accelerate your impact so you can do your best . Together, we’ll bring the power of Agentforce to organizations of all sizes and deliver amazing experiences that customers love. Apply today to not only shape the future — but to redefine what’s possible — for yourself, for AI, and the world.
