Rocket Lab’s People & Culture team is responsible for looking after our most valuable asset : our people . Across our global teams , the People & Culture team supports our people and departments across recruitment , new staff orientation , compensation , training and development . They make sure our growing and diverse global team is supported and capable of delivering our projects and customer’s missions , and they’re responsible for supporting their development , nurturing their skills and talent , and retaining the world-class people already on our team .

We’re looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join our team and play a critical role in delivering our P&C Annual Operating Plan. In this role, you’ll partner closely with leaders and employees across the business to provide trusted guidance on a wide range of people matters and help shape a high‑performing, supportive workplace.

You’ll be the first point of contact for day‑to‑day P&C queries and will support everything from policy development and performance management to organisational development, payroll advice, and complex employment relationship issues. You’ll also contribute to P&C projects and help build capability across the wider team.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

• Partner with leaders to support performance, talent, engagement, and organisational development.

• Provide advice and support on employment relations, policy creation, and P&C best practices.

• Work closely with payroll and legal teams to ensure accurate and compliant processes.

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

• Support the smooth running of the P&C team and assist with wider P&C initiatives and training.

• 5+ years in a similar P&C Business Partner role, or 8+ years’ experience within HR.

• A bachelor’s degree in HR or an equivalent qualification.

• Strong capability with MS Office (especially Excel) and an aptitude for learning new tools quickly.

• Excellent relationship‑building, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
