Job Description Primary Responsibilities • Lead the definition , validation , and implementation of all architectural choices for Cloud & Software Architecture (SWA) initiatives across the group. • Design and oversee cloud‑native application architecture using a holistic , enterprise‑scale approach. • Ensure the technical quality , scalability , performance , and maintainability of all solutions delivered by the Software Architecture team . • Drive the evolution of existing software architectures and frameworks toward modern technologies, with a strong emphasis on AI‑driven development and GenAI-assisted coding . • Manage , mentor, and develop the Software Architecture team . Specific Responsibilities • Act as the key technical advisor to the Head of Architecture & Technology on all Cloud & SWA projects . • Define the technologies , frameworks , and tools to be used across SWA initiatives. • Establish and maintain development standards , architectural principles , and best practices for application design and coding. • Oversee the technical implementation of applications and provide hands‑on support to teams when required. • Contribute to the design , development , and deployment of SWA applications. • Periodically review technical processes and procedures , identifying opportunities for improvement. • Lead the technical evolution of applications to maintain performance , stability , and business alignment. • Provide 3rd‑level support for live applications. • Ensure compliance with the SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct .

Requirements

Education & Experience • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in software architecture , cloud architecture , and enterprise software development. • Experience working in an international and multicultural environment. • Fluent in English . Required Technical Skills • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Agile, Scrum ). • Expertise in XML and web services ( REST , SOAP ). • Advanced proficiency in C# and ASP.NET 4.5 . • Strong experience with Entity Framework . • Advanced JavaScript skills, particularly jQuery . • Strong command of SQL Server and SQL . • In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and services. • Experience with GenAI‑based coding and AI‑assisted development . Required Soft Skills • Strong leadership . • Effective people management skills. • Excellent communication abilities. • Team‑oriented and collaborative mindset. • Highly organized , structured , and analytical . • Autonomous , proactive, and delivery‑focused .
