Job description
The Inspection Bay is looking for an experienced and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our professional team in Clayton. We value quality workmanship, honest service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled servicing, oil changes, tune-ups and general maintenance. Conduct roadworthy inspections and pre- and post-purchase vehicle inspections. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults. Repair and replace brakes, suspension, steering, transmissions, engines and other vehicle components. Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify faults accurately. Carry out road tests and final quality checks. Clearly communicate repair recommendations with customers and team members. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Requirements
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification. At least three years of relevant experience preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and modern diagnostic procedures. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Current Australian full driver's licence. Victorian Roadworthy Tester licence is highly regarded but not essential. Aircon licence
