Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Tree and orchard fruit. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Staff accommodation provided. Relocation costs covered by employer. Tasks: Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for crop growth and development. Develop specific plans to prioritize. Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities. Direct farm grooming activities . Mixing fertilizer. Oversee the activities of clearing the fields. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Maintain financial and production records. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Maintain work records and logs. Hire and train staff. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Supervision: 3-4 people. Type of crops: Grapes. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Organized. Team player. Employment terms options: Early morning. Evening. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Employment terms options: Morning. Day. Weekend. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
