About the Role: Notion’s Content Onboarding team builds the systems that help customers move content into Notion, get started faster, and keep growing reliably over time. The role matters because one of Notion’s core differentiators is replacing multiple tools — and that only becomes real when customers can get their information out of those tools and into Notion with confidence. You’ll partner with product and engineering leaders to shape the future of our content importers, internal administrative tooling, and compliance workflows like exports. This role is based in Hyderabad, India. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days. You’ll partner with product and engineering leaders to shape the future of our content importers, internal administrative tooling, and compliance workflows like exports. You’ll connect AI-era and agentic workflow patterns to onboarding and import experiences — using AI to improve product judgment, prototyping, and engineering quality from design through production.

You will have a steady operating rhythm with HQ while owning a clear north star for the Content Onboarding surface area.

Requirements

• Strong technical leadership: you can represent the team’s work, hold a high engineering bar, and de-risk decisions through clear processes, delegation, and senior IC partnership.

• Ability to craft and maintain multi-quarter team strategy, especially where outcomes depend on adjacent product and engineering teams.

• Experience developing senior engineers, strengthening operating rhythms, and building high-performing engineering teams with durable standards.

• Distributed-team leadership: you can set direction for a local team while staying tightly coordinated with cross-functional partners across time zones.
