Job description
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dangerous. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Outdoors. Dairy. Livestock. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Handling animals. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly . Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Perform general farm duties. Supervision: 3-4 people. Area of specialization: Dairy cattle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Large workload. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Employment terms options: Early morning. Evening. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
