Job description
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Livestock combination farming. Organic farming. Tasks: Diagnose livestock health issues. Direct farm feed inventory activities . Direct farm grooming activities . Handling animals. Marking livestock as proof of ownership. Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly . Treat livestock health issues. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Supervision: 11-15 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system. Milking system (automated). Tractor. Forklift. Area of specialization: Agricultural livestock service. Cattle breeding. Dairy cattle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player.
