Job description
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Wet/damp. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: Rural area. Various locations. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas. Harvest seedlings. Shear Christmas trees. Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides. Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants. Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings. Apply fertilizers. Type of product: Christmas trees. Equipment and machinery experience: Christmas tree cutting machine or equipment. Mechanical sprayer. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Travel expenses not paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Gloves.
